You've Got Mail
My girlfriend at the time was very faithful about checking the mail. Keeping this in mind, I devised an engagement plan to surely get her attention using a friend of mine who worked in mail order advertising. One day my girlfriend received an ad in the mail that offered a rose a week for only a dollar. She loves roses so I knew this was an offer she wouldn't pass up. The advertisement also mentioned that she'd receive a bonus gift free of charge if she signed up immediately. Two days later a UPS driver (also a friend) knocked on our door with a package for my girlfriend. Inside the package was an engagement ring with 3 diamonds for every year we've been together. Now faithfully every Sunday she receives a rose and I receive one dollar.
